A few leaves have fallen off my oak tree so far. Squirrels are busy jumping tree to tree gathering acorns for the winter. Turkeys and deer are moving through the backyard on the way to the river. Chipmunks are stuffing their cheeks with hickory nuts. And my husband and his hunting buddies sound like teenage girls giddily planning the upcoming hunting season. But Autumn to me is all about the fabulous motorcoach tours.
It is the best months for temperatures that are cooler but still warm enough, pretty fall colors, and that exciting charge in the air! It's the busiest travel time of year. Everyone has been busy discussing trips with friends and family. Calls, emails and mail have been filling our inboxes with reservations. Everyone is booking their favorite trip!
We have multiple coaches going on multiple tours in September and October. Most of the tours are almost sold out but a few seats are still available. We had a waiting list on our Downstream Casino trip on October 23 - 25 but got so many we added a second coach. C'mon, It's not too late to book a fantastic fall tour for yourself!
Go ahead and contact us. We'll be happy to hear from you!
I am super excited about next years tours! There will be a nice balance of new destinations and some of our favorites. We will offer shorter trips for those who like to get away for a bit of fun and entertainment but not have long travel times. And we'll have longer tours for those who like to immerse themselves in locations far from home!
When I'm researching and creating upcoming tours my aim is to keep the focus on our travelers take-away. I choose the experiences that will be in each tour with the goal of filling each traveler with delight and joy!
In the next couple of months you will begin to see 2017 tour details. Check back often! And watch your mailbox in October for the 2017 annual tour brochure.
We look forward to traveling with you next year!
You can see the live alligators on our Memphis in May tour. It's a pretty cool place to visit. When Ruth Redel and I were checking out Memphis' newest attraction we were surprised and delighted at all the pyramid and Bass Pro Shops has to offer. We are taking a group to visit May 1 - 3, 2016. Below are some pictures of where the group will enjoy lunch at the restaurant located in the top of the pyramid. The view is amazing! The restaurant has a large, round tank with huge fish. There are unusual steam-punk sculptures of fish hanging from the ceiling. You can walk out on viewing platforms on three sides of the restaurant to see the Mississippi River, the riverfront park area, downtown Memphis and the bridges. It was a nice surprise to see a few shopping areas that cater to women. We saw a variety of items from home decor, clothing and jewelry. And of course there was lots of outdoors stuff including real boats floating in the water. You just got to see it with your own eyes! You might sound like Ruth and keep saying "There are live alligators in here!" The tour offers many other exciting stops too. We hope you join us in May!
