Thursday, June 21: Go west! Maybe not a covered wagon but with a western flair. Overnight in Kearney, Nebraska.
Friday, June 22: Begin your westward journey at the Platte River Road Archway. Immerse yourself in the historic sights and stories of the early pioneers. Overnight at the historic landmark Plains Hotel located in heart of Cheyanne, Wyoming. Watch live gunslinger’s, check out the Big Boots, and catch a live music performance. Meal: B
Saturday, June 23: Travel through Wyoming and catch a true cowboy experience—Cody’s famous rodeo. Next two nights in Cody, WY. Meal: B
Sunday, June 24: It’s big adventure day with a real live wild mustang safari. Get off the road and explore on the Red Canyon Wild Mustang Tour with a local guide. You might also see Golden Eagles, Blacktailed Prairie Dogs, and Pronghorn Antelope. Visit an authentic Old Trail Town and relish first-hand the rich Western heritage in the General Store, Curley’s Cabin circa 1895, the school house, post office, and more. A guided tour of the Buffalo Bill Museum which highlights the life and times of William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody. Don’t miss out on the live birds of prey display and gift shop. Evening is filled with authentic cowboy music and a western buffet at the Dan Miller Cowboy Revue. Meals: B, D
Monday, June 25: This morning you will be entering Yellowstone—the first National Park and only place in U.S. where bison have lived continuously since prehistoric times. Our local expert will take us on a private driving tour showcasing the natural wonder and wildlife. Scopes and binoculars provided. We overnight in the park at the Canyon Lodge. Group dinner tonight. Meals: B, L, D
Tuesday, June 26: Awesome views, geysers and geology will be the highlights our local guide shows you today. Sights visited include Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring, Fountain Paint Pots, Mammoth Hot Springs and Norris Geyser Basin. Mid-day we’ll stop for lunch and shopping. A scenic afternoon drive will lead to Jackson, WY for next two nights. Meal: B
Wednesday, June 27: Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole will be explored on a driving tour with a local guide. Lunch and shopping in downtown Jackson. Photo op in town square with Antler Arch. Wildlife and beauty will be everywhere on the scenic and calm float through the breathtaking Grand Tetons on the Snake River. Get the full experience with a dinner cookout. Meals: B, D
Thursday, June 28: Feed the bison by hand on the Terry Bison Ranch. Narrated train tour, entertaining, and amazing—see bison, ostriches, camels and more. Try a delicious buffalo burger (or beef) at the Dirty Dan Magee Burger Fry. Overnight in Cheyanne, WY. Meals: B, D
